Next Generation Electrical Inc. (NGE), an electrical and renewable energy installation and maintenance company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform new electrical installations or modifications to existing electrical systems, communications, lighting and control systems, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations in commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Layout installation using the electrical and architectural drawings.
- Identify and write a complete materials and tools list for a particular task/job
- Install electrical equipment, including panels and transformers.
- Preparing panel schedules and labels.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
- Maintain records and prepare progress reports.
- Carry out electrical installations with the GEED.
Qualifications:
- Certificate in Electrical Installation (Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology, Vocational Training Board and City & Guilds).
- CSEC Basic Mathematics and English.
- 5+ years as a practising electrician
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain cooperative working relationships with the immediate work group and other construction personnel.
- Must be prepared to work unconventional hours, including overtime on weekdays and weekends.
