Twenty Years on and Still Shining Bright!

It was twenty years ago when four colleagues saw an opportunity to create value in the electrical contracting landscape in Barbados. These four enthusiastic young men recognized the need for exemplary service at a fair price in the commercial electrical contracting space and thought that they could deliver just that. These four young men took a leap of faith, leaving their burgeoning careers at a well-established firm to make their mark on the local construction industry.

From May 2003 to the present, Next Generation Electrical has been through many iterations but has always maintained a forward trajectory and not strayed from its principles. Building a foundation with loyal, competent, well-trained staff, and a supportive customer base has stood the company well. Through the years, the company has had the opportunity to work on some of Barbados’ largest projects leaving an indelible mark on the architectural landscape.

From working on local marinas to specialty installations at local gas stations and doing routine maintenance for offices and homeowners alike, the diversity of our capabilities knows no bounds. Our capable staff has grown from our ambitious beginnings to a complement of forty-plus full-time employees who are always continuously learning and adapting to contemporary environments.

Lately, the company has fully embraced the movement to renewable energy and specifically the thrust to solar energy. We have successfully completed the photovoltaic systems on some of the island’s large commercial and industrial installations. But we also have many happy homeowners with grid-tied PV systems. As time passes, we will be leading the industry with off-grid installations and battery storage solutions; and whatever technologies are next to evolve.

As we continue to build our legacy, we celebrate our first twenty years and look forward to continuing to add value to the local electrical contracting industry. We will continue to encourage and develop our staff and their capabilities, and we endeavour to maintain our excellent customer relationships and invite more to join the fold.  We say thank you to our staff, partners and customers for our first twenty and look forward to having you on our journey into the future.
