WE ARE HIRING: Senior Electrician

Next Generation Electrical Inc. (NGE), an electrical and renewable energy installation and maintenance company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Electrician to join our team.  The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of assigned commercial, residential, and industrial projects from commencement to completion.  This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise the work of electricians and other staff on various projects.
• Ensure that electrical installations are carried out to the highest standards.
• Schedule and allocate tasks to minimise delays and optimise resources.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems, making recommendations for improvements.
• Maintain records and prepare reports on work progress and performance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Carry out electrical installations with the GEED.
• Attend construction coordination meetings and liaise with contractors and clients.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Certificates in Electrical Installation.
• At least 10 years experience as a senior electrician in commercial, residential, and industrial electrical installation projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Must be prepared to work unconventional hours, including overtime on weekdays and weekends.
